                                  Celebrating nature writing

Sales of books about nature were booming during lockdown, so we were delighted to be able to talk to two of the longlisted authors for this year’s Wainwright Prize for nature writing.

Listen to our fascinating podcast discussion with Jini Reddy, author of Wanderland, and Dara McAnulty, author of Diary of a young naturalist, on the joy of writing about nature and how it is engaging more people with the natural world.

                                  Cutting Carbon Now
Cutting Carbon Now is our project advocating immediate action across the UK economy to drastically reduce the UK’s contribution to climate change as the UK emerges from the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government must be bold and ambitious as it leads us to recovery. We believe the UK can build back better by investing in resource efficient and low carbon industries and the skills needed to support them, ensuring a green and just recovery from Covid-19.

Economic choices the UK makes now will determine the trajectory of the country for decades to come.

We present the case for action needed in five areas for a resilient recovery that ensures prosperity, health and renewal for the long term.

The first ever virtual mass lobby for a fair, green, healthy recovery
                                  The Time is Now

Last year, we came together with other organisations to hold the biggest ever mass lobby of parliament. Twelve thousand people travelled to Westminster to ask their MP to act on climate and nature.

A year on we gave people another chance to meet their MP to ask for a greener, fairer future, this time virtually.
